Abstract
|

|
A case of a 58-year-old female patient with a primary tumor of the anterior segment of the upper
lobe of the right lung which was clinically diagnosed as a anterior mediastinal tumor is presented.
The histological study proved this neoplasm to be a giant cell carcinoma of the lung.
Prolonged survival in reported operable cases of this rare tumor is briefly discussed.
